CKS Memorial Hall certified for Muslim-friendly services

The Taipei City Government held the Taipei Muslim-Friendly Sites and Hotels Conference on Oct. 21, in which six new sightseeing spots including the National Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall received a Muslim-friendly environment certification from the Taiwan-based Chinese Muslim Association. The memorial hall is the first affiliated institution of the Ministry of Culture to receive this certification, and the Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall Management Office reiterated the importance of respecting multiculturalism and its pride in providing a friendly environment for Muslims.

The Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall is an important tourist attraction in Taipei, and its management office continues its efforts to improve friendly, safe, and convenient sightseeing services to visitors. The memorial hall's unfaltering dedication earned certificates of Excellent Service and Best Foreign-Language Service from the Taipei City Government this February. Additionally, working with the central government's promotional program for Southeast Asian tourists, the venue has set up a Muslim prayer room to further promote multicultural tourism and attract more Southeast Asian travelers.

The Muslim prayer room is located within the main hall's rest area on the side of the Gate of Great Loyalty. The prayer room can accommodate five people at a time, and includes copies of the Qur'an, prayer rugs, screen dividers, and shoe cabinets. Additionally, there are also washlet facilities available on site. The Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall's Muslim prayer room is open daily from 10am to 5pm (except for holidays). All Muslim visitors are welcome to visit this Taipei landmark.
