The 2018 Tibetan Culture and Art Festival Taiwan kicked off with the "Tibetan Medicine Thangka Art Exhibition" at the National Center for Traditional Arts in Yilan. Apart from exhibiting thangka paintings from the "Four Medical Tantras," the show was also accompanied by talks on Tibetan medicine and activities.

Co-organized with the Taiwan Photographer Cultural Exchange Association, the "Photography Exhibition of Tibet" presented around 60 pieces by 10 specially invited photographers, covering a variety of themes including geography, humanities, and temples. Through the lenses of these 10 photographers, exhibitiongoers gained a rare look into the natural landscape, religious culture, and folk customs of Tibet on display at the Ministry of Culture's Mongolian and Tibetan Gallery.

Chukie Tethong grew up in a musical family. She is a skilled performer of a wide variety of moving folk songs from around Tibet. Rich with soul and compassion, her voice is irresistible and penetrating. U-Theatre, meanwhile, is a Taiwanese troupe well-known at home and abroad. The fusion of traditional and modern art that arises from the two acts performing together was a feast for the body, mind, and soul.
