"Untitled (無題)," a joint art project of two Taiwanese artists Cheng Hsien-yu (鄭先喻) and Hung Yun-ting (洪韵婷), was showcased virtually at Technischen Sammlungen Dresden (TSD), an educational German museum with a focus on technology development, from Feb. 19 to 26.

The two were invited to present their joint project "Untitled" (無題) under the main theme "Body/Sound” at CYNETART, an international festival for computer-aided art in Dresden, Germany.

Due to COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, the museum is temporarily closed until March 7, and the exhibition has been postponed until further notice. To keep on its services to arts fans, the museum has initiated a virtual preview tour with point-and-click interfaces on their website to showcase the artworks.

Through this telepresence technology, visitors were able to sign in and register for a remote control car online, which allowed users to navigate around the immersive exhibit remotely to preview the contents. Each car is equipped with a micro camera, and designed to move in the 400 square meters exhibit hall, providing specifics of the artworks in two languages, English and German.

Since the foundation in 1997, CYNETART is widely considered as one of the most important events for contemporary media art in the German-speaking world. It has accomplished a lively mix of creative programmers, skillful engineers and innovative sound technicians and media artists from all over the world, to raise awareness of current global changes through arts. This festival takes place annually in November in Dresden, and every two years the festival is accompanied by an international competition.

Technischen Sammlungen Dresden (TSD) is a polytechnic museum with the aim of supporting general technical education. The museum has a rich collection of objects related to industrial, technical, and everyday life history of the last 150 years.
