The 2024 Taiwan Technology X Culture Expo (TTXC) is set to take place at the Pier-2 Art Center in Kaohsiung City from Oct. 12 to 27. Co-hosted by the Ministry of Culture and the Kaohsiung City Government, the expo, with its slogan “Future at Play,” will focus on gaming and entertainment, virtual idols, and techno art, integrating itself with other major cultural events in different fields, including the Takao Rock music festival, the Kaohsiung Film Festival, and XR Dreamland, which is an XR international short film competition.
Culture Minister Li Yuan noted that following the inaugural TTXC last year, the 2024 expo is planned with exhibitions, forums, and activities to create a closer relationship with the public. He added that this expo aims to foster collaboration between the business and art sectors, highlighting the results of the fusion of art and technology.
The expo will kick off with Takao Rock, the largest music festival in southern Taiwan in the fall season. Featuring over 60 groups of domestic and international musicians, Takao Rock will be held at the Kaohsiung Music Center from Oct. 11 to 13.
