The National Museum of Taiwan Literature (NMTL) is set to co-host the “Formosa Art Residency Program - Book” with the Center for Cooperation and Cultural Action of the French Office in Taipei (Le Centre de coopération et d’action culturelle du Bureau français de Taipei). This initiative aims to showcase Francophone literature by inviting French or Francophone artists to Taiwan.

In May, Director Nikky Lin (林巾力) of the NMTL signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Cécile Renault, head of the Center for Cooperation and Cultural Action of the French Office in Taipei. Following this initiative, the NMTL will join the judging panel of the “Formosa Art Residency Program - Book” to bring Francophone writers to Taiwan and promote the exchange of literature between Taiwan and France.

The NMTL continues to extend its international network through various initiatives. In March 2024, the NMTL collaborated with the Alliance Française de Taïwan (臺灣法國文化協會) to organize the “Francophonie Month.” Additionally, following last year’s positive responses, the NTML will host the “Storytelling in French” event this coming August, showcasing French picture books to children in Taiwan.
