MOC and OISTAT extend partnership through 2030

Supported by the Ministry of Culture, the International Organisation of Scenographers, Theatre Architects and Technicians (OISTAT) has established its headquarters in Taiwan since 2006. On Aug. 23, Deputy Culture Minister Lee Ching-hwi (李靜慧) and OISTAT President Aby Cohen signed an agreement to extend OISTAT’s stay in Taiwan through 2030. 

 

Deputy Minister Lee expressed gratitude towards OISTAT’s significant role in promoting theater in Taiwan, highlighting its contributions, such as the design of the National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts (Weiwuying) and its oversight of the center’s completion. She believes this partnership will foster a brighter future for the theater industry.

 

OISTAT President Aby Cohen emphasized the importance of the partnership with MOC in supporting the organization’s growth and enhancing theater education and exchange in the Taiwan. She urged the public to focus on contemporary cultural issues, including cultural development, heritage preservation, and community empowerment.
