Application opens for 2025 Fulbright program for arts professionals

The Ministry of Culture (MOC) and the Foundation for Scholarly Exchange (Fulbright Taiwan) signed a memorandum of understanding, extending the Fulbright – Taiwan Ministry of Culture, Arts Professionals Program through 2027. The open call for the 2025 program was also announced.

The signing ceremony took place during the “Fulbright – Taiwan Ministry of Culture Grants Briefing & Alumni Reunion Reception,” co-hosted by the MOC, the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT), and Fulbright Taiwan on Aug. 28.

Culture Minister Li Yuan noted that the U.S. is a key partner to Taiwan in politics, economics, and cultural and academic exchange. He expressed his hope that the extended partnership will further enhance the arts and cultural development of both nations.

Since 2018, the MOC and Fulbright Taiwan have collaborated on the Arts Professionals Program, which has enabled 16 scholars to conduct research in the U.S. in fields such as theater, curation, performing arts, and photography.

Applications for the 2025 Fulbright-Taiwan Ministry of Culture, Arts Professionals Program are open now through Oct. 31. For more information, please visit the Fulbright website.
