NMH’s co-learning programs recognized with 2024 Muse Creative Award

The National Museum of History (NMH) has been recognized with the 2024 Muse Creative Awards, where both of its co-learning programs, “A Story Box Activity Booklet of Creative Aging (創齡寶盒-家的印象)” and “Discovering Beauty (發現美是什麼),” received Gold awards in the publication and typography categories, respectively.

Created by the NMH and professional art therapists, the “Story Box of Creative Aging: Impressions of Home” is a collection of archetypal learning resource cards and lesson plans designed for the elderly. The cards and associated activities aim to stimulate creativity, enhancing the sense of self-worth and interpersonal interaction among participants.

“Discovering Beauty” is the NMH’s summer course on aesthetics based on creative learning resources developed in recent years. By integrating culture and nature into aesthetic education, the course guides the public to discover what beauty is, reinterpreting the museum’s artifacts using geometric segmentation, the golden ratio, color theory, and material analysis, offering new perspectives on classic cultural relics.

On Oct. 27 and Nov. 2, the NMHs will host four workshop sessions for caregivers of the elderly, explaining how to use “A Story Box Activity Booklet of Creative Aging.” For more information, visit the NMH’s website
