Organized by the Mongolian and Tibetan Cultural Center, the 2024 World Ethnic Film Festival (WEFF) will take place from Sept. 13 to 22 across Taiwan in six cities, including Taipei, Taichung, Chiayi, Tainan, Kaohsiung, and Hualien, featuring a total of 19 films across 60 screening sessions.

Now in its fourth edition, the WEFF underscores Taiwan’s commitment to multiculturalism and inclusivity by showcasing a diverse selection of 19 films with different themes. The lineup includes 14 feature films, 3 documentaries, 1 short film, and 1 animated film, with Taiwan-focused works such as “Island in Between (金門),” “March of Happiness (天馬茶房),” and “Long Time No Sea (只有大海知道).”

The Mongolian and Tibetan Cultural Center noted that, through these films, the WEFF aims to guide viewers in appreciating the diverse cultures of various ethnic groups in the world, opening a dialogue centered on humanity from multiple perspectives.
