On Sept. 12, the Ministry of Culture (MOC) invited crew members from the Taiwan Pavilion at the Paris Cultural Olympiad to share their experiences from the event. Culture Minister Li Yuan presented commemorative medals as a token of appreciation for their hard work.
During the event, Minister Li remarked that the design and performances of Taiwan Pavilion at the Cultural Olympiad reminded him of cherished childhood memories. He further added that the very crew members will build another pavilion for the country at the Osaka Expo next year to showcase these valued cultural elements, emphasizing Taiwan’s soft power on the international stage.
Former Taiwan Representative to France, Wu Chih-chung (吳志中), who advocated for the establishment of the Taiwan Pavilion, said, “Miracles happen when you believe in Taiwan.” He highlighted memorable moments such as Taiwan's badminton duo, Lee Yang (李洋) and Wang Chi-lin (王齊麟), winning their first Paris Olympic medal; drag queen Nymphia Wind’s dazzling performance; and Lin Yu-ting (林郁婷) claiming the boxing championship.
