MOC unveils 2025 Creative Expo Taiwan main visual ‘Water Scapes’

The 2025 Creative Expo Taiwan is set to take place in Taipei from Aug. 2 to 11. On June 16, the Ministry of Culture unveiled the expo’s main visual theme, “Water Scapes,” which centers on the ever-changing forms of water to highlight cultural exchange and the boundless expressions of creativity.

Launched in 2010, the Creative Expo Taiwan has grown into the country’s largest and most influential cultural fair, known for its curation of contemporary cultural trends.

“Water Scapes” reflects the fluidity and inclusiveness of Taiwanese culture. It underscores the island’s close ties between hydrography and cultural vitality, while celebrating the resilience and dynamism shaped by Taiwan’s diverse cultural landscape.

The main visual was created by acclaimed graphic designer Yang Shi-ching (楊士慶). Drawing inspiration from the legendary actor Bruce Lee’s famous phrase, “be like water,” Yang aims to reflect on the essence of adaptability and flexibility in life through his compelling design.

Using water ripples as the central motif, Yang interprets them as points of intersection—not only between individuals but also among cultures—each representing a new flow of ideas. The design features multi-layered blue-green tones that evoke spatial depth and cultural richness, symbolizing the organic generation and convergence of creative energy.

The expo will open on Aug. 2 at Songshan Cultural and Creative Park, showcasing leading Taiwanese creative brands. A business fair will follow at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center starting Aug. 5.
