The 2025 Creative Expo Taiwan (CET), titled “Water Scapes,” is set to take place at Songshan Cultural and Creative Park and Nangang Exhibition Center in Taipei from Aug. 2 to 11. The CET will present Taiwan’s diverse waterscapes, from cloud forests 2,000 meters above sea level and hot springs on misty hills, to coastal rivers and tidal surges, showcasing the rich biodiversity and cultural expressions that emerge from these aquatic landscapes.
Curated by Peng Ya-lun (彭雅倫) and Ke Chih-hao (柯智豪), with Tainan Art Museum Director Gong Jow-jiun (龔卓軍) serving as chief advisor, “Water Scapes” explores the evolving relationship between humanity and bodies of water amid the transformations of modern Taiwanese society.
The expo comprises four thematic sections: The Spirit of Waters (有河之靈), The Island of Seascapes (接海之島), The Realm of Mist (穿霧之境), and Taiwan as Endless Streams (臺灣萬水).
Featured works inspired by Taiwan’s waterscapes include the novel “The Route in the Dream (夢中之路)”; films such as “The River (河流)” and “The Great Buddha+ (大佛普拉斯)”; television series like “Gold Leaf (茶金)”; and exhibitions including “Forest Bond (共森)” and “Reflection of Rivers (映河).”
