NTCRI launches ‘Craft Pilgrimage’ exhibition in Taipei

Celebrating its 70th anniversary, the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute (NTCRI) launched the touring exhibition “Craft Pilgrimage (工藝遶境)” at its Taipei Branch. Running until Oct. 20, this exhibition showcases Taiwan’s craft development and innovation, featuring AI-integrated installations.

During the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Culture Sue Wang (王時思) emphasized that promoting Taiwanese crafts is a primary objective of both the Ministry and NTCRI. She hopes that the “Craft Pilgrimage” series will inspire more people to take up craft making.

NTCRI Director Chen Tien-li (陳殿禮) noted that this exhibition positions Taipei as a cultural hub by displaying diverse works such as pottery, metalwork, and textiles, blending exceptional craftsmanship with cutting-edge technology. He added that this exhibition aims to highlight the potential of Taiwanese crafts.

The NTCRI Taipei Branch will host various events throughout the exhibition, including workshops, seminars, and forums. For more information, visit the NTCRI’s website.
