The name of the band “Accusefive (告五人),” consisting three Chinese characters “告 (accuse),” “五 (five),” and “人 (people),” does not really mean anything. The three characters were chosen randomly by each band member pointing to a word on a bulletin board at a courthouse.
Accusefive is a Taiwanese rock band that originated in 2011 in Yilan County. The band was reorganized as a trio and released their first EP in 2017. It comprises lead vocalist and guitarist Pan Yun-an (潘雲安), lead vocalist Chuan Ching (犬青), and drummer Richard Lin (林哲謙). Pan has been actively involving in a rock band since high school and was responsible for writing the band’s music. Lin, displaying a passion for music since childhood, began formal music training in elementary school. Chuan Ching started learning music in high school and is known for her captivating vocals and deep musical comprehension. The trio debuted at the Ho-hai-yan Rock Festival (貢寮海洋音樂祭) in 2017 and staged more than 100 live performances in the following years, sharing their music at every major music festival in the country.
Accusefive gained attention with hits like “Wanna Eat Hami Melon (你要不要吃哈密瓜)” and “Miss You Day and Night (披星戴月的想你).” In October 2017, the rock band released their first mini-album “Mistborn (迷霧之子),” which earned them Best New Artist at the 9th Golden Indie Music Awards in 2018. Over the following five years, they released three albums: “Somewhere in Time I Love You (我肯定在幾百年前就說過愛你)” in 2019, “Easy Come, Easy Go (運氣來得若有似無)” in 2020, and “In the Clouds (帶你飛)” in 2023.
In 2023, Accusefive performed at the opening of the world-renowned British rock band Coldplay’s Taipei concert. In the same year, they also embarked on a world tour. In 2024, they received the honor of Golden Melody Award for Song of the Year with “We Will Be Fine (又到天黑).”
