CREATIVE CITIES/International Theme Exhibition

CREATIVE CITIES/International Theme Exhibition

An International Design Festival with Southeast Asian Artists

Singaporean artist, designer, and curator Tan Tzun Tat Jackson, who is also in charge of Black Design, spearheaded the "CREATIVE CITIES/International Theme Exhibition” to focus on 10 trend-setting cities in the Asia-Pacific region - Kaohsiung, Bangkok, Beijing, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Seoul, Singapore, Sydney, and Tokyo.

The exhibition attracted over 250 artists, designers, musicians, entrepreneurs, and visual multimedia artists to interpret the creative diversity of their respective cities.

The project was carried out in two parts. The first stage, which took place prior to the formal exhibition, presented Taiwan's cultural prowess from the perspective of Kaohsiung artists. The main event then was curated to emphasis new talents in design, reflect the viewpoints of a new generation of artists around the globe, and highlight the value of promoting urban aesthetics in contemporary society.
