An international opera co-production between National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts (Weiwuying) and Deutsche Oper am Rhein (Germany), with more than 350 singers and musicians participating, has become the largest public performance since the beginning of the global pandemic.
Due to the success of Taiwan's epidemic prevention efforts, the production team at Weiwuying has been able to overcome many different challenges in order to stage this public performance, compliant with anti-pandemic measures, in a safe environment. With 3,722 tickets for two performances sold out immediately, Weiwuying has decided to stream the performance live on the internet so all theater lovers, local and abroad, will have the chance to watch this magnificent performance.
The performance of "Turandot" will take place on August 28th at 7:30pm Taiwan time at the National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts (Weiwuying) Opera House, and will be broadcast live on Weiwuying's official YouTube channel.
