A Taiwanese Indigenous music video "kemay calun (return from the wild)," performed by an indigenous band from the Puyuma tribe in Taitung and produced by the Alian Culture Creative Workshop (阿藜漾文創工作室), has won several international awards.

Awards received include the International Sound Future Awards for the Best Asia and Pacific Music Video and Best First Time Director Music Video; the Rome Music Video Awards for the Best Asia and Pacific Music Video; the International Sound Music Video Awards for the Best Asian Music Video (HONORABLE MENTION), among others. Also, it was selected as a finalist at the 5th Music Film Festival, Munich Music Video Awards, International Music Video Awards, and Euro Music Video Song Awards.

Under the Indigenous Village Cultural Development Project, a project launched by a Puyama association in Taitung County was subsidized by MOC from 2018 to 2021, with the aim of collecting and revitalizing the classic tribal ballads while re-interpreting them with modern arrangements and showcasing the culture through music video productions.

The project has collected a total of 27 tribal ballads and produced three music videos titled "bulay nanta Pinuyumayan (版圖歌)," "'emalu'alu (抬椅歌)," and "kemay calun (獵人歸來)," as well as organized four rounds of tribal ballad exchange activities at the Tiehua Music Village and 19 rounds of screening events. Since its establishment in Sep. 2018, the YouTube channel of the project has accumulated more than 200,000 views.

In 2016, MOC initiated the Indigenous Village Cultural Development Project to support an increasing number of urban-based youths who have returned to their tribal hometowns in search of reconnecting with their roots, reshaping their communities, and reviving their indigenous heritage.
