"NMH x LOHAS,” a new line of contemporary crafts co-launched by the National Museum of History (NMH) and LOHAS Pottery (陸寶陶瓷), offers ceramic souvenirs based on historic cultural relics.
The co-branded insignia retains the crimson ink featured in the NMH logo and the hollowed-out style used in the engraved characters of the LOHAS Pottery logo. The "O” in "LOHAS” has also been replaced by a leaf icon to symbolize the green, healthy, and natural elements embodied by the new line of products.
Designed for everyday life, the first product launch includes "A Pair of Soaring Phoenixes - Palm Treasures (鳳凰于飛掌中寶),” which is a set of palm massagers for stimulating blood circulation, and "Arrival of the Phoenix - Stimulating Comb (有鳳來儀活絡梳),” a comb for scalp massage and scraping therapy.
The two other new releases are "The Accumulation of Treasure - Water Purifiers (四方源寶活水煮),” a set of ceramic filters decorated with auspicious animals for safeguarding one's health, and "Sapphire Jade with Blessings / Topaz of Happiness - Tea Sets (隨福青玉/隨喜黃玉隨手泡),” travel tea sets decorated with animal-face patterns taken from prehistoric jade ornaments.
The "NMH x LOHAS” collaboration hopes to bring more historical and cultural relics back into the modern world in the near future.
