This year, a total of 26 Taiwanese cultural and creative businesses will take part in the 2014 Interior Lifestyle Tokyo fair, which is slated for June 4 to 6 in Japan. The opening ceremony at Tokyo Big Sight West Hall will be attended by Taiwan's representative to Japan, Shen Ssu-tsun (沈斯淳), and Chu Wen-ching (朱文清), director of the Taipei Cultural Center in Tokyo.
In order to enhance the brand value of Taiwan-made products, the Ministry of Culture has cooperated with National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute and the Taipei Culture Foundation to form a delegation to attend the fair.
Among the products that will be featured at the fair is series of tea sets titled ' I am Qianlong Emperor: The Emperor's Treasures' (我是乾隆-天子之寶), which was designed and manufactured by Artilize Worldwide Co. (藝拓國際) along with it partner, the Taipei-based National Palace Museum (國立故宮博物院).
After the fair, eight of the 26 businesses will take part in another trade show titled 'Fresh Taiwan‧Meet Japan!' at Shibuya's Parco Department Store between June 7 and 12.
