A group of cultural and creative businesses selected by the Ministry of Culture will participate in the 2013 Interior Lifestyle Tokyo, a high-end interior design fair scheduled to take place from June 5 to 7.
This year, more than 600 exhibitors from around the world will take part in the annual event, in which 18 design companies will be representing Taiwan's cultural and creative sector:
More than 60 sets of Made-in-Taiwan premium products will be showcased at the lifestyle expo in the Tokyo Big Sight West Hall. Several acclaimed series, including CiCHi's tofu-inspired tea set, haoshi's serial 9 goldfish clock assemble and Biaugust's flock of animalistic chairs, will help to freshen Taiwan's image in the design world.
The Ministry is dedicated to promoting the nation's cultural and creative sector by combining the beauty of traditional Taiwanese craftsmanship with modern, innovative designs. The exposure and acclaim from attending international expos, such as the one in Tokyo, will also help ease the transformation of traditional industries.
After Tokyo, the 18 cultural and creative representatives are slated to showcase their works in Las Vegas, Paris, London and Shanghai.
