Guest conductor Michal Nesterowicz from Poland will lead the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra in a lusty interpretation of Don Juan's legendary escapades at the Chunghsing Hall in Taichung City on April 18.
The 40-year-old Nesterwoicz is one of the globe's leading conductors, whose performances are filled with fire and youthful energy. He has previously led the National Symphony Orchestra of Chile, and served as the artistic director of the Polish Baltic Philharmonic Orchestra.
For "Don Juan — Love & Death,” the Wroclaw-born conductor will guide the NTSO in performing selected pieces from Richard Wagner's "Tristan und Isolde,” Ludwig van Beethoven's "Piano Concerto No. 5,” and Richard Strauss' titular piece "Don Juan.”
Nesterwicz will be accompanied by British-Canadian pianist Angela Hewitt in showcasing the life, love, and death of the world's most-beloved libertine.
