Three world-renowned musicians - Qu Wenjun of China (曲文軍), Wang Xin-xin of Taiwan (王心心) and Satsuma Biwa of Japan (岩佐鶴丈) - have been invited to jointly perform in Taipei for a special concert featuring the pipa, a four-stringed Chinese musical instrument.

The two-hour concert titled "The Bold and Vehement Instrument: Going Forward Without Turning Back” is produced by Taiwanese cultural commentator Lin Gu-fang, who hopes to introduce the origins, types, genres and music features of pipa to the general audience.

The three musicians will share the limelight with the Taiwan's National Chinese Orchestra (NCO) and its principal guest conductor, Yen Hui-chang of Singapore, on Nov. 12 at the National Concert Hall in Taipei.
