An exhibition titled 'Home in Taiwan: Stories about the Daily Life of the Late President Chiang Kai-shek' will be held from Oct. 28 to Dec. 12 at the National Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall. People are welcome to visit the exhibition grounds and enjoy the rare historic photos that follow President Chiang's travels around Taiwan.
The 'Home in Taiwan: Stories about the Daily Life of the Late President Chiang Kai-shek' exhibition references the latest academic research results and relevant historic data, going beyond past military and politics-themed efforts to explore daily life at Chiang's residences in Taiwan.
The exhibition, which presents different aspects of the life of the late President Chiang through more than 200 rare photos, introduces 10 historically significant residences of the late president throughout the country in three major sections.
The 10 residences include the Shilin Official Residence (士林官邸), Grass Mountain Chateau (草山行館), Jiaobanshan Summer Residence (角板山賓館), Cihu Residence (慈湖賓館), Lishan Guest House (梨山賓館) and Fushou Villa (福壽山莊).
The residences served as living quarters,venues for the reception of foreign guests,recreational areasandmilitary command centers during Chiang's presidency.
