'The 2013 Historical Park Week'

Address:No. 250 Section 1, Zhǎnghé Rd, Annan District, Tainan City 70946, Taiwan

To reinvigorate its image, the National Museum of Taiwan History will be launching an innovative outdoor museum week during mid-September when the actual museum building is closed for annual repairs from Sept. 9 to 16.

The 2013 Historical Park Week will run between Sept. 10 and 15 at the museum's outdoor park and is scheduled to include a series of challenging activities and a fun park tour.

To enhance the visitor's experience, the 20-hectare facility will be divided into four main sections - "Knowledge of Taiwan” outlining the educational system and academic growth of the nation, "Nature of Taiwan” displaying wetland management techniques and horticulture systems, "Surroundings of Taiwan” raising awareness for the island and its limited resources, and "Stages of Taiwan” showcasing performance venues and public plazas.

Other activities include a photography exhibition titled "Look What Happened in the Year I was Born!” that will feature all the major events that shook the world between the years 1895 and 2012.

For more information about the event, please visit the museum's website (www.nmth.gov.tw) or download the event brochure provided below.
