Grants for Cultural Exchanges and Collaborative Projects with Personnel between Taiwan and Latin America (Previously Named the Coral Initiative)


To foster deeper and more diverse collaboration in the arts among the cultural communities of Latin America, Caribbean, and Taiwan, a grants program offered by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of China will accept proposals through Jan. 15, 2019.


From exhibitions and performances to writing, filmmaking, or research projects, all interesting collaborative projects on aspects of Taiwan's culture or society are welcomed. The collaborative portion of the project comes from having a Taiwan-based partner such as a school, civic group, or legal entity.


For the 2019 open call of this grants program, candidates can apply from any of the 33 eligible Latin American or Caribbean nations listed below:

Grants will be awarded in amounts up to N$3 million (US$215,500) per project - NT$1.5 million for project implementation and NT$1.5 million for project promotion.
