  • As an artist, Chen Cheng-po's journey can roughly be summarized in four periods - the early period, Japan period, Shanghai period, and post-1934 period.


  • As an instructor, Chen served as teacher at Chiayi Public School, professor at Xinhua University of Fine Art, and professor at Changming School of Fine Art.


  • As head of the household, Chen was often away from home for work or travel reasons. Apart from paintings such as "Portrait of Grandmother,” "Little Brother,” and "My Family,” he also left behind an extensive collection of letters from their correspondence.
