New immigrants and migrant workers from Southeast Asia shared their stories with the Taiwanese public at an outdoor event hosted by the National Taiwan Museum.

Three migrant workers from Indonesia ― Justto Lasso, Tantri Sakhina, and Ryan Ferdian ― were also invited to share their creations. In addition to working in Taiwan, they are also writers who record the lives of migrant workers and encourage fellow Indonesians to read and write in their own language.

Lasoo, who works as a welding worker and journalist in Taichung, recited a real story about the journey of a young Indonesia farmer's search of justice and love to encourage people to remain positive in life. Lasoo also serves as the chairman of the Taiwan branch of Forum Lingkar Pena, a literary society formed by Indonesia students and workers who share a love for literature.

Rasta Kurawa, a band composed of Indonesia migrant workers in Taiwan, also staged five performances in between the story-telling and poem-sharing sessions.

Organized by the NTUST (National Taiwan University of Science and Technology) International Muslim Student Association, an outdoor booth was held alongside the afternoon gathering to share aspects of Islamic culture.
