Curated by the National Museum of Taiwan Literature in Tainan, "Writing under the Same Roof” is a special exhibition featuring generations of literary families in Taiwan.
Encompassing a total of 119 writers ― including fifteen couples, seven groups of siblings, twelve parent-child pairs, and eleven families ― the exhibition explores the ideas, creations, and development of literary families through their representative works, manuscripts, and photographs.
The exhibition venue is decorated as a family room where literary quotes adorn living room furniture and family photographs are hung on the walls.
A portrait of writer Li Rui-deng (李瑞騰) and his literary family.
A dress designed by literary siblings Susie Chao (趙淑俠) and Chao Shu-min (趙淑敏).
A print titled "Mother and Son of the Taiwanese Plains Aborigines (平埔母子)" made by poet Xiang Yang (向陽).
A couplet written by author Liang Hsuan (亮軒) as a wedding gift for his writer son.
The exhibition was previously showcased in the 2016 Taipei International Book Exhibition. The Tanan museum has a more complete version of the exhibition for the public to experience the world of literary families in Taiwan.
