Immersive exhibition featuring famous artworks from the Renaissance era to debut next year

"Immersive Exhibition of Renaissance Art (會動的文藝復興)," jointly organized by Taiwan, the United States, and Italy, will be held in Taipei in January and Kaohsiung in June next year, featuring digital artworks by 24 renowned renaissance artists.

The exhibition will include over 200 pieces of digital artworks from 36 museums, art galleries, and private collections worldwide. Among the artworks, the famous fresco "Last Judgement" on the dome of the Florence cathedral will be featured as well. The other representative paintings from the Renaissance era include Da Vinci's "Last Supper," "Mona Lisa," Michelangelo's "Creation of Adam," and “The Birth of Venus” by Botticelli.

According to the organizer Firenze Cultural Exchange, this is the world's first collaboration with one of the world's most famous cathedrals. Visitors will be able to view the magnificence of the cathedral as well as the intricate details of the fresco "Last Judgement" through the multimedia displays.

Originally scheduled to be held this summer, the exhibition was postponed due to the pandemic outbreak. It will now be held from Jan 22 to May 2, 2022, at the Taipei International Flora Expo's Pavilion of New Fashion and from June 3 to Sep. 11, 2022 at the National Science and Technology Museum in Kaohsiung.

Visitors who have previously purchased tickets may choose to visit the exhibition in Taipei or Kaohsiung with their original tickets. For more information, please visit Firenze Cultural Exchange's website.
