Taiwan-Australia jointly present 'Biennial Live Event in the Everyday Digital' for the first time

Supported by the Cultural Division of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Sydney, the 2nd Biennial Live Event in the Everyday Digital (BLEED) will take place across three cities, Melbourne, Sydney, and Taipei, from Aug. 29 to Sep. 25. Taking place between the live and digital and across borders, BLEED 2022 is produced and presented by Campbelltown City Council through Campbelltown Arts Centre, and City of Melbourne through Arts House, Taipei Performing Arts Center (TPAC), and Museum of Contemporary Art, Taipei (MoCA Taipei).

The programs curated by TPAC include "Paeonia Drive (克賽諾牡丹預報)" and "Thank You Movie God (謝謝電影神)," while MoCA Taipei will present "The Pailang Museum (白浪的定居殖民博物館)." "Paeonia Drive" is an interdisciplinary and ongoing project by Angela Goh and Su Yu-hsin (蘇郁心), bringing together performance, video installation, and dance. Transforming and translating a VR work into an online setting of screening, "Thank You Movie God" is a project by Su Wen-chi (蘇文琪) that explores the theatricality and cinematic variations between 3D and 2D filmmaking and coding. Initiated by Wu Chi-yu (吳其育), "The Pailang Museum" is a Sinophone media collective that commissions speculative writing, screening programs and decolonial guided tours along with experimental film production.

Established in 2020, BLEED is a six-year project exploring how the online makes us feel. In the 2022 edition, it explores the potential and problems of borders, as well as the sites of intersection between and within humans, technology, media, history and nationhood, and our emotional, physical and digital geographies. BLEED also features a lively program of talks, podcasts, essays and reflections in BLEED ECHO, exploring the problems and potential of our everyday digital existence.
