Funny, touching, and irrevocably versed in local humor, Taiwanese commercials will take a special spot at this year's Art of Commercials program organized by the Hong Kong Arts Centre.
In the 26th edition of "Art of Commercials,” award-winning advertisements from around the world will be screened from Dec. 3 through 4 and accompanied by seminars organized by the Kwang Hwa Information and Culture Centre.
The 4A Awards (4A創意獎), which are among the most significant advertising awards in Taiwan, will curate a collection of recipients from 1999 to 2015 for "Outdoor Screenings: The Selection from 4A Awards - Part I & II.” Free admission with online registration is offered.
Jennifer Hu (胡湘雲), chief creative officer of Ogilvy & Mather Taiwan, and commercial director Chen Hung-i (陳宏一) are also invited as guest speakers for the "Seminars: Conversation with Taiwanese Commercials Talents” series on Dec. 3 and 4.
Professors such as Lai Chien-tu (賴建都) of National Chengchi University will also greet students at Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong Design Institute, and Hong Kong Art School from Dec. 4 through 6 to converse and exchange ideas on advertising.
"Made in Taiwan: Art of Commercials” is made possible with the support of the Hong Kong-Taiwan Economic and Cultural Cooperation and Promotion Council.
