Kuala Lumpur exhibition to showcase Taiwan’s artistic diversity

The Taiwan Academy of Fine Arts (TAFA, 臺灣美術院) a renowned arts group devoted to the promotion and inheritance of Taiwan's artistic diversity will be holding a special exhibition in Kuala Lumpur from June 2 through 24.

TAFA was established by senior art professors, including National Cultural Awards laureates Liao Shiou-ping and Hsieh Li-fa, to promote artistic creation, theoretical research, cross-sector collaboration, international exchanges, and the sharing of resources pertaining to the development of Taiwan's arts.

A TAFA-curated exhibition titled "Art Made in Taiwan" has been touring the world in recent years. Uniquely local and culturally diverse, yet international in perspective and depth, the showcase fully demonstrates the success of cultural diplomacy and the soft power of Taiwan.

The 24 featured artists of "Art Made in Taiwan: An exhibition from the Taiwan Academy of Fine Arts in Malaysia," which include 21 TAFA members, are:

  • World-renowned printmaking artists Liao Shiou-ping and Chung You-hui;
