To increase worldwide recognition and boost exposure for Taiwan's design brands, the Fresh Taiwan pavilion will return to Maison et Objet Paris, one of the world's leading lifestyle fairs taking place in the French capital from Sept. 6 through 10.

 

Organized by the Ministry of Culture, a total of ten Taiwan design brands will bring an extensive range of products spanning homeware, crockery, stationary, lighting, and lifestyle accessories this year to procure business opportunities with international buyers.

Eguchi Toys is a maker of wooden games and accessories for children that takes into consideration the capability and size of their hands, intelligence, and safety. Its collection ranges from baby mobiles cleverly shaped after storks, pelicans, and seagulls to puzzle pieces that introduce the art world of Giuseppe Castiglione, an Italian missionary and painter who served at the imperial courts of Qing.

 

Studio Smoll was founded upon the twin aspirations of eco-friendliness and self-fulfillment. Its patented method of assembly eliminates the need for chemicals and adhesives, creating backpacks and phone tots from vegetable-tanned leather that can be folded like a piece of paper.

Authentic craft traditions and modern manufacturing have given rise to home accessories and lifestyle products made from upcycling wood shavings from local carpenters in Taiwan, and layering coatings of sustainable flax fiber and old newspapers.

 

Paper Shoot is an exciting and vibrant eco-friendly company dedicated to creative digital photography. It develops and distributes an exciting range of cameras that can be designed and edited by the user. Exhibition-goers can choose from high-texture wooden classics, fashionable metals, or a special edition inspired by the National Palace Museum's jadeite cabbage collection.
