Udine Far East Film Festival selects 7 Taiwanese films and projects

Udine Far East Film Festival (FEFF), which will run from Apr. 22 through 30, has announced its nominations and selections. 5 Taiwanese films and 2 projects are included in the list. Taiwanese films "Incantation (咒)," written and directed by Kevin Ko (柯孟融), and "Mama Boy (初戀慢半拍)" by Arvin Chen (陳駿霖) will take part in the 42-title competition.

Taiwanese film "Terrorizers (青春弒戀)" by Ho Wi-ding (何蔚庭) and Hu Chih-hsin (胡至欣) enters the Best of the Best section; while "Swordsman of All Swordsmen (一代劍王)" which was restored by the Taiwan Film and Audiovisual Institute will be screened in the Restored Classics section. Industry event Focus Asia - All Genres Project Market also selected two projects from Taiwan: “Imprisonment (劫獄)” produced by Tung Szu Mei (童思玫) and directed by Hung Tzu-Hsuan (洪子烜) as well as "Borderless (滅無明)" produced by Susan Huang (黃詩珊) and directed by Chu Chun-teng (朱駿騰). "In the Morning of La Petite Mort(動物感傷の清晨)" directed by Wang Yu-lin (王育麟), is also selected in the Far East In Progress section. The film will have a chance to win the 108 Media Distribution Award.

Taiwan Creative Content Agency (TAICCA) continues to collaborate with FEFF this year. "FEFF has long been promoting co-productions between Asia and Europe," said TAICCA CEO Izero Lee.

Held in Udine, Italy, the industry event Focus Asia will take place for 3 days in a hybrid form from April 26 to April 28. Award Winners will be announced on April 30 to conclude the event.
