Taiwanese artist Joyce Ho will be participating in the inaugural Asia Society Triennial

Taiwanese interdisciplinary artist Joyce Ho (何采柔) will be showcasing her installations and performing art pieces from Mar. 26 to Jun. 27 in New York City, as part of Asia Society Triennial titled "We Do Not Dream Alone," which will take place in multiple venues including the Asia Society Museum, New-York Historical Society, Park Avenue Malls, and Time Square Arts.

Ho will have six pieces of artwork installed in the Asia Society Museum. In addition to exhibiting her artworks, she will team up with two Taiwanese actors to present two performances of "An Artist Talk" virtually. The first set of performance is tentatively scheduled for Mar. 31, and the second will be included as part of the Asia Society "Virtual Spring Gala Event" on May. 5.

Born in Taipei, Ho received her M.A. from the University of Iowa in 2010, specializing in painting. She currently lives and works in Taipei. Her practice includes painting, sculpture, installation, video, and performance.

Ho's multifaceted works explore daily rituals, the deconstruction of movement, and the tension between illusion and reality. Over the years, she has held numerous solo shows and has been included in many important art festivals around the world, including 2020 Yokohama Triennial: Afterglow, OzAsia Festival, and Asia Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art.

Asia Society Triennial is the first Triennial ever created to show contemporary art from Asia in New York City. It features 40 artists from more than 20 countries, including Taiwan, Korea, Japan, India, Singapore, and Israel. The goal of the event is to share the Asian experience from a global point of view, and display how artists from throughout the continent address their concerns.

Audience will be able to watch the recording of the performance on the Triennial website and Youtube channel throughout the duration of the exhibition. For more information, please visit Asia Society's website
