After two years of cancellation due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Buenos Aires International Book Fair (Spanish: Feria Internacional del libro de Buenos Aires), which is considered the most important annual literary event in the Spanish speaking world, will return with in-person events from Apr. 28 through May 16. Representatives from Taiwan are also invited to participate in the events.

More than 1500 cultural programs will be held at the 45,000 square meters venue, including conferences, readings, workshops and book presentations. This year, the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Argentina was invited to present a live performance of Taiwanese folk songs, drum shows, indigenous dance and Electric-Techno Neon Gods dance at the book fair.

After the show, the organizer, the Library of the National Congress of Argentina, said they were deeply impressed by the colors, languages and power of Taiwan's artistic performances.

TECO in Argentina noted that the Buenos Aires International Book Fair is the grandest literary arts event in Argentina, its visitors include people of all ages from young couples with children to the elderly who enjoy art and literature, making it the best platform to promote cultural exchanges between Taiwan and Argentina and to publicize Taiwan.

The Buenos Aires International Book Fair is held every April in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and is one of the top five book expos in the world, oriented to the literary community as well as to the general public. The book fair has flourished since its founding in 1975. More than 1 million readers visit the premises and took part in the literary events in 2019, the in-person book fair was then canceled in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic.
