Printmaking exhibition in NYC to feature Taiwan, US artists

In celebration of the Taipei Cultural Center in New York's 25th anniversary, a printmaking exhibition will be held at the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office on 42nd Street from Aug. 12 through Sept. 9.

Curated by the Kuandu Museum of Fine Arts and Taipei National University of the Arts, the exhibition will be held in collaboration with the Taiwan Society of Printmaking and the Society of American Graphic Artists (SAGA).

"Dialogue on Printmaking” will display works by 25 artists from Taiwan, including renowned painter Shaih Lifa (謝里法) and printmaker Liao Shiou-ping (廖修平), as well as American artists and printmakers such as Michael Di Cerbo and Linda Adato.

A total of 30 artworks created in different periods spanning from the 1960s to the present will explore different print genres and art mediums. The works were curated to reflect the aesthetics and cultural roots of each artist and offer insights into the art of printmaking.

The curated collection was created by different techniques using various mediums, such as lithography print, glass, paper, and iron. The wide range of materials will enable visitors to see the diversity of printmaking as well as the creativity of participating artists.

A printmaking workshop and artist talks will also be offered to help exhibitiongoers gain more in-depth knowledge about printmaking.
