Co-organized by Taipei Economic and Culture Office in Malaysia and INXO Arts and Culture Foundation, Tea Philo (哲學茶席) invited the artistic director of Formosa Aboriginal Singing and Dance Troupe (原舞者), Faidaw Fangod (懷劭‧法努司) and hosted a webinar on May 21 under the theme "Kakitikiting holding hands together, the landscape dream of FISDT 30."
As one of the founders of Formosa Aboriginal Singing and Dance Troupe, Faidaw Fangod shared the troupe’s dedication to revitalizing Taiwan’s traditional indigenous music, dance and rituals over the past 30 years through topics including "Inspiration of the Mountain and River Landscape in 1991 (1991年山水篇的啟示)," "Traditional Ritual Dance and Music (紮根傳統祭儀樂舞)," "Experiencing Life as Drama (體驗戲劇人生),” “Developing Body Language (開發身體語彙)," "Talk, Sing and Dance (講話 唱歌 跳舞)," and "Dreams (是夢，但很真實)."
Established in 1991, The Formosa Aboriginal Singing and Dance Troupe is a Taiwanese performance team consisting of members from many indigenous groups. They have revitalized disappearing traditional music and dance with the assistance of anthropologist Hu Tai-li (胡台麗), tribal elders and cultural workers through field studies and word of mouth from tribal seniors. For the past 30 years, the Formosa Aboriginal Singing and Dance Troupe have performed at indigenous tribes in Taiwan and all around the world. Not only did they replicate traditional ceremonies to show the beauty of indigenous dance and music, but they were also dedicated to passing on the intangible cultural heritage.
