The Economic and Cultural Office of Taipei in Spain together with Homesession Arts Space and Artist in Residence Barcelona launched this virtual project which focused on the creation of visual arts and interdisciplinary experimentation.

Through introducing works by the artists Huang Yu-hang (黃郁涵), Veeeky Wei-chia Wu (吳維佳), Chao Shu-jung (趙書榕), and curators Cheng Shao-hung (程少鴻), and Wang Chun-chi (王俊琪), the online exhibition seeked to further encourage Taiwanese new media artists to create and learn more about the residency and increase international exchange possibilities.

In addition to exploring texts and images, the newly-launched platform presented interviews by the artist-in-residents, sharing their creative experiences and emphasizing the diversity of artistic practices and process. Through this website, viewers will be able to understand the artist’s creative philosophy and the influence of the residency experience on their works and future development of their art career.

Since 2015, with the support of the Ministry of Culture, Homesession Studio has welcomed Taiwanese artists to stay in Barcelona for two months annually. The residency provides an opportunity to be inspired by the interactions that can arise in a creative environment.

The program also offers more time and space for the artists to reflect, furthering enhances their creative process towards innovative and unexplored paths.

Due to the pandemic, this year's residency program was postponed to 2021, but upon receiving positive feedback from many local art professionals, it was decided to hold an online exhibition to showcase the completed works from past residencies.
