Avignon | '2016 French Tech Culture Avignon'

AniComic (微動創意股份有限公司), a Taiwanese company that provides mobile-based services for comic readers, visited Avignon to participate in a series of events planned by French Tech Culture Avignon this July.

Representatives Chen Ya-ting (陳雅婷) and Lai Po-chou (賴柏州) from AniComic left for Avignon on June 29 for French-Taiwanese technological exchanges and coaching sessions provided by French Tech Culture to refine the products and services of AniComic.

During the visit, they met Mayor Cecile Helle of Avignon and Director Jean-Marc Roubaud of French Tech Culture Avignon. They also joined the Viva Technology startup fair in Paris, and explored mobile applications with professors and doctoral students from the University of Avignon.

Chen stated that she was very proud of representing Taiwan in Avignon, where she introduced AniComic and Taiwan to the world.

The city government held a press conference on July 15 to introduce the emerging startups and companies that had been selected by French Tech Culture this year. Emmanuel Macron, the French Minister of Economy, attended the event to show his support for the transnational program.

Each year, French Tech Culture selects international companies from around the world to visit Avignon during the Festival d'Avignon, providing them with opportunities to participate in technology fairs and optimize their technology and products with coaching sessions.

AniComic, whose platform combines comics and games with internet technology and social networking, was selected during the French Tech Culture forums held by the Ministry of Culture at the Songshan Cultural and Creative Park in Taipei this April.
