Returning briefly to a city she still considers a home, Culture Minister Lung Ying-tai visited Hong Kong in late November hoping to deepen cultural exchanges between the two neighbors. Although Taiwan and Hong Kong are just a stone’s throw away from each other and share similar cultural traits, the island nation’s tensions with mainland China in the past have kept the two from building closer ties.
