Taipei Performing Art Center to host AAPPAC conference in September

The 2024 27th Association of Asia Pacific Performing Arts Centres (AAPPAC) conference, hosted by the Taipei Performing Arts Center, will take place from Sept. 4 to 6. The conference will focus on integrating traditional culture with contemporary vitality, building social cohesion within cultural districts, developing sustainable visions, and exploring the future landscape of the performing arts with Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Founded in 1996, AAPPAC, committed to promoting the exchange of artistic programs in arts centers, is a leading organization in the performing arts industry in the Asia Pacific region. It has a network of 82 members from over 20 countries.

Marking its return to Taiwan after 12 years, the conference is titled “Mind The Gap, Lead The Path.” From Sept. 4 to 6, it will present a series of events, including a keynote speech, four forums, opening and closing performances, and the Taiwan Performing Arts Showcase.
