The Ministry of Culture (MOC)’s cultural program “We Taiwan” at Expo 2025 Osaka is set to take place in August, featuring four key themes: “The Power of Play (遊戲能力),” “Blended Colors (混融色彩),” “Creativity that Crosses Over (跨域創造),” and “Dynamic Energy (萬變氣場).” On June 19, the MOC announced that the theme “Creativity that Crosses Over” will be presented at Osaka City Central Public Hall to showcase a fusion of Taiwan’s technological advancement and artistic creativity.
The MOC noted that the Osaka City Central Public Hall, established in 1918, was designated as an Important Cultural Property of Japan in 2002. This historic site will host a series of techno-art performances that offer a creative dialogue between Taiwan’s traditions and innovations.
Featured performances at the Public Hall include the tech-dance performance “Huang Yi & KUKA (黃翊與庫卡),” the XR work “Free UR Head (放開你的頭腦),” along with VR experiences, Taiwanese film screenings, and a Taiwanese literature exhibition.
The cultural program “We Taiwan” will run from Aug. 2 to 20. For more information on “We Taiwan,” visit the program’s official website, follow the program on X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram, and add the official LINE account.
