The Taiwan-France cultural workshop, titled "tfatelier," jointly organized by the Ministry of Culture and the French Office in Taipei, will resume in-person sessions this year and is scheduled to take place on April 24 and 25, with a focus on the future potential of film and television platforms in the new economy (Le cinéma et la nouvelle économie de la SVOD).

As part of the two-day forum, the organizers have extended a special invitation to a delegation from the national film and audiovisual institutes of France including representatives, filmmakers, and cinema architects. In addition, Taiwan's Bureau of Audiovisual and Music Industry Development (BAMID) and the Taiwan Creative Content Agency (TAICCA) have also been invited to participate in the forum, along with Taiwanese experts from various fields in the film and television industry.

The purpose of the forum is to provide participants with an opportunity to share their valuable experiences and insights from different angles, such as political ideas, content investment, production and sales development, international co-production, and futurism in cinema. The ultimate goal is to foster a thriving ecosystem in the film and television industry and promote talent education.

Over the years, Taiwan and France have accumulated a profound foundation of cultural exchange, and the co-productions between both countries have received international recognition and awards. Additionally, France has a reputation for being receptive to films and TV productions from different countries, making it a valuable partner for Taiwan to expand its content into global markets.

The event is open for registration until April 19, with a maximum capacity of 100 participants per session. Individuals who are in the film and television industry, including students, professionals, arts and cultural workers, and researchers, are all welcome to sign up for the event. Simultaneous interpretation in both Mandarin and French will be provided during the workshop. For more information and to register online, please click here.
