Residency program in London open to Taiwanese artists, curators

The Cultural Division of the Taipei Representative Office in the U.K. partnered with the Delfina Foundation to launch a 12-week residency in London, which will take place from Apr. 2 to June 23, 2024, for artists or curators from and based in Taiwan to enhance their career and international network.

The application for residency will be accepted from now on until Dec. 10, 2023 (GMT). The applicants will be assessed by a committee of British artists and curators convened by the foundation. The first round will be a written assessment of portfolios, and then the candidates will be invited for an online interview during the second round. The result is expected to be announced in January 2024.

Besides having the time and space to refine their work, the successful candidate will be presented with multiple opportunities by the Delfina Foundation, such as to meet and engage with artists, curators, academics, and researchers; to join professional development and mentoring activities; to establish collaborative exchanges between residents through informal gatherings; and guided visits to museums, galleries, non-profits, artist-run spaces, and studios.

The Delfina Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to facilitating artistic exchange and developing creative practice through residencies, partnerships, and public programming.

Located in the heart of London, the Delfina Foundation has an extensive professional network in the U.K. and Europe, offering various counseling and consultation services. This open call includes artists and curators, with no restriction on the theme of creative research. The foundation welcomes applications from a wide range of artistic talents and looks forward to opening up a dialogue with the contemporary art community in the U.K.
