Four Taiwanese performance groups will join the 2016 OFF Festival d'Avignon under the theme "Vibrant Arts” to celebrate Taiwan's tenth year of participation in the famed French festival.
The Taiwan Cultural Center in Paris first began to select and organize Taiwanese delegations to the OFF Festival d'Avignon in 2007. After a decade of dedication and experience, a total of 34 performance groups from Taiwan have showcased 47 productions in France, with each production receiving three weeks of spotlight during the summer festival.
This year's lineup includes puppetry show "La Naissance” from Flying Group Theatre (飛人集社劇團), mime production "Mama Luna” from Théâtre des Enfants Terribles (頑劇場), physical drama "Play Me” from M.O.V.E. Theatre (見体劇團), and contemporary dance piece "Floating Flowers” from B. Dance (丞舞製作團隊).
The first three groups will perform at Theatre La Condition des Soies, whereas B. Dance will be hosted by CDC - Les Hivernales.
