Two Taiwanese comic artists to be featured at Manga-Comic-Con in Germany

The Manga-Comic-Con at the Leipzig Book Fair, Germany, taking place from March 21 to 24, will showcase the Taiwan Pavilion featuring works by Taiwanese artists Zhou Jian-xin (周見信) and Aliyo. Their respective works, "Son of Formosa (來自清水的孩子)" and "The Demon Cat (貓妖傳)," will be highlighted during the event.

Zhou Jian-xin's "Son of Formosa" is the first illustrated biography telling the story of Taiwanese political victim Tsai Kun-lin (蔡焜霖) and has been translated into multiple languages, including English, Japanese, Korean, Italian, Arabic, and French.

On the other hand, Aliyo's "The Demon Cat" blends elements of Taiwanese Taoism and common folk beliefs, narrating passionate battles within the structure of classic Manga for Boys.

Both artists were invited by the Taipei Representative Office in Germany to the event "Berlin Meets Taiwan Comic" on March 19, where they engaged in author talks and interacted with readers from Berlin. Additionally, they are scheduled to attend the Manga-Comic-Con, where they will share insights into their artistic journeys.
