The Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival Executive Committee, with support from the Ministry of Culture’s (MOC) “1 plus 4—T-content plan (匯聚台流文化黑潮計畫),” has announced the selection of five Taiwanese film production teams to participate in the Marché du Film of the Cannes Film Festival, beginning on May 16.
The selected lineup includes director Yang Ya-che (楊雅喆) and actor Liu Chu-ping (劉主平) of “The Chronicles of Libidoists (破浪男女),” director John Hsu (徐漢強) of “Dead Talents Society (鬼才之道),” director Giddens Ko (九把刀) and actor Kai Ko (柯震東) of “Kung Fu (功夫),” director Chen Yu-hsun (陳玉勳) and actor Caitlin Fang (方郁婷) of “A Foggy Tale (大濛),” along with director Huang Xi (黃熙) and actor Eugene Liu (劉奕兒) of “Daughter’s Daughter (女兒的女兒).”
Culture Minister Shih Che expressed gratitude to the committee for facilitating connections between local productions and international markets. He emphasized the substantial support provided by the MOC through its policies and increased funding, hoping that these outstanding cinematic works will shine on the international stage.
