The Cultural Division of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Spain collaborates with Barcelona-based independent curators Miquel Martí Freixas and Catarina Brites Soares to host a Taiwanese contemporary film exhibition titled “Taiwán, historias desde dentro.” Scheduled to take place from May 16 to 18 at the Cinemes Girona in Barcelona, this exhibition will feature six films from Taiwan.
The selected films include “A Journey in Spring (春行),” “Moneyboys (金錢男孩),” “Terra Nullius Or: How to be a Nationalist (無主之地：一部臺灣電影),” “The Clock (阿霞的掛鐘),” “The Pig (豬),” and “Temporary (臨時工).” Highlighting films from the past decade, this exhibition aims to showcase diverse selections from top emerging directors and delve into various current societal issues in Taiwan.
Additionally, a seminar on Taiwan’s film industry will be delivered by film scholar Chen Chieh-yao (陳潔曜) on the opening night. For more information, please visit Cinemes Girona’s website.
