‘Non Belief’ selected for Taiwan Pavilion at Venice Biennale of Architecture 2025

Since 2000, the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts (NTMoFA) has selected Taiwan’s curation team for the Taiwan Pavilion at the Venice Biennale of Architecture. This year, the National Cheng Kung University (成功大學) Architecture Department’s project, “Non Belief ([無]-信仰),” has been chosen to represent Taiwan at the Biennale, which will take place from May 10 to Nov. 23, 2025.

The title of the Venice Biennale of Architecture 2025, “Intelligens. Natural. Artificial. Collective,” is not only linked to the modern term “intelligence” but also evokes a wider set of associated meanings, suggesting a future of intelligence that is inclusive, multiple, and imaginative beyond today’s limiting focus on AI.

Curated by a team led by Hsueh Cheng-lun (薛丞倫), with co-curators Wu Ping-sheng (吳秉聲), Su Meng-tsung (蘇孟宗), and Chiang Sung-chang (江松長), “Non-Belief” seeks to explore and redefine the potential of contemporary Taiwanese architecture.

Chen Kuang-yi (陳貺怡), Director of NTMoFA, stated that this event presents a valuable opportunity to showcase Taiwanese architectural design on the international stage and foster exchanges between Taiwanese architects and the global community.
